During its usual breathless, end-of-the-world, the climate will kill us all reporting on Hurricane Dorian – which has been downgraded to a Category 2 storm as of Thursday – the editorial staff at CNN made a huge geographical mistake.
As the network portrayed one of the storm’s potential paths as skirting the breadth of Florida, the state next to Georgia was labeled Mississippi.
Only, Alabama borders Georgia, not Mississippi, which is one state over.
Breitbart News reported:
The network presented the graphic as part of a segment regarding Dorian’s path as it inches up the United States’ East Coast. The hurricane, which killed at least 20 people in the Bahamas in recent days, is presently lashing the Carolinas as a Category 2 storm.
The boneheaded mistake did not escape the attention of Stephanie Grisham, the White House spokeswoman who replaced Sarah Huckabee Sanders earlier this summer.
“Hi @CNN, I know you guys are busy analyzing lines on a map, but perhaps you use your time to study up on U.S. geography?”
The network responded directly to Grisham’s jab: “Thanks, Stephanie. Yes, we made a mistake (which we fixed in less than 30 seconds). And now we are admitting it. You all should try it sometime.”

Never mind that when it comes to correcting the record, CNN has a lot more work to do. The network was out in front on the “Russian collusion” hoax, reporting it as gospel every day for more than two years until special counsel Robert Mueller issued his report in March debunking it ‘officially.’
And let’s not forget that CNN’s hosts alternately describe the president of the United States as a “racist,” a “bigot,” a “homophobe,” a “Nazi,” and a “white supremacist” – all of would land the network in court for defamation if they were improperly describing any other American that way.
Nevertheless, CNN’s back-and-forth with Grisham came as President Trump noted on Twitter that Alabama (not Mississippi) was at one point projected to be “grazed” by the storm but it “took a different path” up the East Coast, then calling out the mainstream media for being “fake news.”
“Alabama was going to be hit or grazed, and then Hurricane Dorian took a different path (up along the East Coast). The Fake News knows this very well. That’s why they’re the Fake News!” he wrote.

Twitterverse erupted over the president’s Sharpie-map, but the fact is, no one who is criticizing him has a clue what he was briefed by staffers. And given the fact that there are still plenty of federal officials inhabiting the deep state who don’t like him, it’s easy to believe that he may have been given some false projections as far as where the storm may hit — just to embarrass him.
They act as though he just made up the bit about the storm tracking towards Alabama without ever providing any context for their insults. But that’s typical of Leftists who attack without basis or cause just because Trump said something.
As for the climate garbage, it can’t be said enough that the Leftists pushing the alarmism know full well they are hoaxing us, but rely on useful idiots and true believers in the media and Marxist organizations to carry their water. (Related: Court decision just slapped down Michael Mann and his fake global warming hockey stick.)
The fact is, “climate change/global warming/global cooling/overpopulation” are all Left-wing constructs to control every person on the planet and destroy capitalism in the process.
Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of U.N.’s Framework Convention on Climate Change, frankly admitted that the overarching goal of the “global warming/climate change” hoax is to reorient the world’s economic model away from capitalism.
